Obituary for Carl Kilburn Jr.

Carl “Jack” Kilburn, otherwise known as the “Old Goat”, passed peacefully on July 16, 2020, he was 91. Jack was born in Eagle, WV on January 30, 1929 to Carl Kilburn and Minnie Roach Kilburn. He was a stranger to no one and he lived a life full of adventure, spreading the love of Jesus wherever he went.
Jack was raised in Smithers, WV, served in the Korean War, and moved to Indiana to work for Chrysler. West Virginia held his heart and he found his way back in 1972 to settle in Zenith. Many memories and friendships were made when Jack ran the Zenith General Store from 1975-1999. After all the things he had achieved throughout his life, his most important milestone was being washed in the blood of Jesus and accepting Him as his Lord and Savior in June of 1998. Jack volunteered on several missionary trips and he looked forward to the time he spent with his church family at Crimson Springs. He loved talking about Jesus, reading his Bible, and helping anyone in need. Jack gave the biggest and best hugs and loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his special friend, Don Page, and the love of his life, Nina Ann Farrer. Surviving family to cherish his memory include his brother, Lionel Kilburn of California, his daughter, Regina Wikle (Donald) of Peterstown, grandchildren Nicholas Wikle (Rebecca) of Rock Camp, Ross Wikle (Megan) of Peterstown, Forrest Wikle (Makayla) of Peterstown, Zeella Stone, Wayne Wikle, and Jon Wikle, and great-grandchildren Jack, Zaneeva, Everly, Jasper, Duane, and Cecil.
