Obituary for Elizabeth May Webb
Elizabeth May (Libby) Cole Webb of died June 7, 2019 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown after a short illness.
Born July 16, 1943 in MacArthur, she was a daughter of the late John Seldon Cole and Virginia Maxine Holt Cole of Crab Orchard. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Randolph (Randy) Webb, a former Beckley City Police officer, in 2003 and a sister, Peggy Jean Cole Davis in 2010.
Libby was graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and was employed by several businesses in Beckley before moving to Monroe County. She was a member of The First Missionary Baptist Church, Ballard.
Survivors include a son, Byron (Butch) Webb and a grandson, Travis Webb, both of Bristol, TN; her sister, Johnny Sue Cole Alderson (Frank) of Louisiana; two brothers, John Kelly Cole (Peggy) and Samuel Harold Cole (Sarah Jane); brother-in-law Charles Davis, all of Harper Heights; aunts, Nancy Holt Stewart of Beckley and Jean Rogers Holt of Norristown, PA; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and beloved friends Bill and Susan Conway of Ballard that she considered family. Services will be held Tuesday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Wickline Funeral Home Chapel, 8701 Seneca Trail, Lindside, with the Rev. Steve Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Memorial Gardens, Lindside. Family will receive friends on Monday June 10, 2019 at the funeral home.
