Obituary for Charles Dennis Childers
Charles Dennis Childers, 88 of Little Creek Rd, Alvon, WV passed away Monday March 6, 2017 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
Born August 23, 1928 in Alvon, WV he was a son of the late George Summers and Eva Coulter Childers. He was a lieftime resident of Little Creek and a member of the Little Creek Presbyterian Church. He worked in maintance at the Greenbrier Resort and on the family farm. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers; Johnny, Lonnie, Orville, Clarence and George (Carson), four sisters Odesa McClung, Mattie Ramsey, Okell Childers and Violet Childers.
He is survived by one brother Robert (Bob) Childers of Little Creek, several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday March 8, 2017 at Little Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Ben Gurley officiating.
