PETERSTOWN-Billy Lee Lively, 74 of Peterstown, WV passed away peacefully at home on Friday October 16, 2015. Born December 11, 1940 he was a son of the late Omar and Willie Broyles Lively. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joe T. Lively.
After graduation from Peterstown High School in 1959, Billy faithfully served his country in the US Army, and retired as a supervisor with the Celanese Corporation after 35 years of service. He was a member of The First Missionary Baptist Church of Ballard, WV. Billy enjoyed restoring old cars with his friend Richard "Happy" Worthington and loved spending time at his cabin with family and his faithful dog "Spike".
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda V. Lively, three sons, Brian Lively and wife Dania of Lindside, WV, Jody Lively and wife Julie of Christiansburg, VA, and Mike Lively and wife Brenda of Peterstown, two daughters Donna Cardwell and Carla Hetherington and husband Justin all of Peterstown, one brother Orman (Buddy) Lively of Lindside, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Billy also leaves behind many loyal friends that offered love and encouragement during his time of need.
Honoring his wishes, no visitation or funeral services will be held.
